Intelligent Geo-Mine Co. Ltd. (IGM) conducted a field excursion

Intelligent Geo-Mine Co. Ltd. (IGM) conducted a field excursion, 25 August 2025 to the Shanagh and Ghezlar exploration area within the Sanandaj-Sirjan Zone and Central Iran, respectively to investigate the relationship between mineralization and structural geology. The lithostratigraphic sequence in the area comprises Jurassic shale and sandstone, overlain by Jurassic limestone and dolostone. The Jurassic limestone hosts Pb-Zn mineralization, which occurs as a replacement deposit. Field observations revealed a spatial association between ore mineralization and fault structures. Specifically, an enrichment zone was identified along a fault plane with an orientation of N250 and a dip of 45 degrees. The frequent observation of this phenomenon suggests structural control on mineralization, warranting further structural investigation to delineate the ore mineralization geometry. These findings highlight the importance of structural analysis in exploration programs targeting similar Pb-Zn deposits.
